was put in, not only with the dive itself but also the raising of
funds (which is the important bit) So Thanks to all. To date we've raised £3169.70, a truly momentous amount & a fitting tribute to the memory of Geoff. A cheque will be presented to Cancer Research on Tuesday 7th October 2008 at the "Woodman" |

Well, after returning from Scotland for the 8th year running, I open the “Dive” mag to find a 5 page article on diving out of Loch Aline. What a crock of s**t! not only was it a lousy article but I don’t think their trip was much better. It appears we are alone in enjoying 5 star accommodation in the highlands let alone the pleasures of spotting Minky whales, basking sharks, dolphins, sea eagles & sea otters. They don’t mention the beauty of a sunset sky at 11pm. Neither did they experience the remarkable taste of Thai curry, tandori scallops, fresh crab & assorted fish cooked in every manner imaginable. All their divers returned home complete with facial hair, which can’t be said for our trip J . The poor sods don’t even mention the obligatory hilarious Scallop dives that bring out the competitiveness of all involved. We don’t write fancy articles for the dive magazine but we do know how to have a damned good time, diving some of the best sites in the western isles & eating like kings with the best of company. Next years Mull trip will be announced in the next few months & if you want to enjoy one of the best dive holidays around you’d better get your name down fast. |
